Continuation of the Starcraft thread that was on the old imageboard. I've been playing custom battles since there's so many I haven't tried yet.One of these was Triumvirate, and it is by far the longest I have ever spent on a single mission. Perhaps it was my preference for the Zerg that madeit so difficult, since I could probably have annihilated the 2 computers as Protoss, but I am certain the main reason for the longevity of the missionwas because of the lack of resources. About an hour into it, all of the players run out of minerals since there are barely enough to go around, so therest of the game was just seige warfare since I couldn't do anything too aggressive with my Guardians because I was stuck at 3 minerals and couldn'tmake anything more. If it weren't for the Dark Templar the game would have ended at least 2 hours earlier, but since they are so OP I had to keep oninching toward the protoss fort that they captured with sunken colonies to take them out one by one, but we were both low on resources so they couldn'tmake more. . Horribly time consuming this was, the definition of a war of attrition.
This is probably 3 hours into it, the Terrans had already run out of resources but I didn't bother destroying their buildings since their air defense benefited me by destroying protoss ships.
This was the final stages of the siege, I think all the Dark Templar were dead by this point, but you can see the 3 minerals that was stuck at.
Lastly here's another try I did before the one I succeeded. Took the picture because there were so many ragnasaurs, never seen that many lol
Oh fuck, a continuation of my thread?I haven't progressed from that same level yet. I'm gonna restart the Protoss campaign after Christmas(I am not home and don't have a mouse for my laptop, so starting before Christmas is not gonna happen.)
>>284I'd like to find the equivalent of Terry WADs for Starcraft, or something completely unfair that is fun to try anyway
Has anyone tried StarCraft 64? How does it compare to the original?
>>324I didn't even know it existed. Is it for the Nintendo 64(is that the name of the console)?
>>324 It holds up pretty okay, but mediocore over all. The controls suck because of how the N64 controller is laid out, but it's a slightly better port than the already mediocore Command and Conquer 64 port. It dropped the 3D models in favor of having a split screen mode, which is pretty cool.>>325 Yes, yes it is!
>>324>>325This is also one of the few titles to take advantage of the N64's Expansion Pak.The red-topped memory expander would allow you to play the full campaign (even the Brood War missions), and double the screen width in the port's 1v1 multiplayer mode.
1v1 splitscreen starcraft sounds awesome
